Interesting piece here from the Australian Financial Review looking at the search for AMP's new CEO. It’s interesting as it’s an example of the type of cross-border project that executive search firms are often working on. One of the great strengths of our new GatedTalent service is its international depth – it has executives with profiles in more than 90 countries, and allows recruiters to search against skills such as languages, location and willingness to relocate, which can be very valuable in a cross-border search. It really allows our clients to offer a more global, more diverse shortlist to their clients.
Murray said that head hunters Egon Zehnder found a number of potential candidates overseas interested in running AMP. "We had a number of potential candidates offshore but Francesco was the better change agent of all the people we looked at," Murray says.
